I know I have told people back home about the goats here but I didn't have a picture to prove it until now. So here you go goats wandering the street. Lola was out in the yard and she had a shit fit. There is a corgi mix that follows them around and the cattle egrets are never far away. This is a daily occurrence in the neighborhood. Yesterday I had to stop dead in the middle of a roundabout on the bypass road because there were goats crossing the road.
On a completely different note I got my first electric bill yesterday...let me first say that the cost of electricity went up 85% just before we arrived on the island....my bill was $114 US for one month ( not using any AC). AHHH! Good thing I budgeted $200 US.

Blah Blah Blah...
I haven't posted in a while because all I do is eat, sleep, and study. A big group of us are going out on Friday for our birthdays. YAY! Not much to say my first exam is coming up (on my birthday). It doesn't seem like I have been in school long enough to be taking an exam.

Little Havanna in St Kitts
Today is the best day so far on the island. I found a stove top espresso maker at Rams. So I came home and promptly brewed a pot and started some black beans. YUM! As a side note I have not had a regular supply of coffee since we arrived 2 weeks ago.
We also went to the farmers market I bought some really good mangos and tomatoes.

TGIF
YAY! It is Friday. My first week of school was crazy busy I spent at least 4 hours each night reading and looking at figures. However, I am feeling optimistic about the semester to come. All of my classes are interesting and it is so nice to finally have teachers who can relate the class material to something clinical. That makes everything so much more interesting.
I started a pot of black beans tonight to have for dinner tomorrow and I think we are getting pizza tonight : ) Tomorrow is the farmers market I can't wait to see what is available.

Start of Classes
So classes start tomorrow and I am scared and excited all at once. I just have to stay on top of studying and I think everything will be OK. I'm taking Gross Anatomy I, Microscopic Anatomy & Histology, Physiology I, Intro to Vet Med, and Nutrition. Wish me luck!
